“Provisions”

Inspired by John 6:1-14

“Feeding the multitude” symbolises many things, but what inspired me recently the most to do this painting is the importance of not being wasteful with food, because Jesus tells them, “Gather up the fragments, lest they be lost”.  Something that I always see violated in our rich country during events like Christmas and Easter, when large amounts of food end up in the bin.
