Still, more than 3000 houses are without power up here at my Mount Tamborine, 10 days after the disaster struck on Christmas Day. I was so lucky, apart from a few wet paintings in my studio. That’s nothing compared to so many of my neighbors and friends. Many have lost their house forever. I have started to paint again, and what else than the destruction around me? This painting depicts North Tamborine Park or Geissman Oval, not more than 100 meters away from my house. Looking at that carnage I can’t believe that my house barely got a scratch.
